This spirited CD gives listeners a very good example of how pianist Gerry Wiggins was sounding in the mid-'90s. It is strange that it had been many years since his last trio album, for this was always the perfect setting for Wiggins. Joined by bassist Andy Simpkins and drummer Paul Humphrey, the pianist swings creatively on such numbers as "The Way You Look Tonight," "Some Other Spring," "Strip City," "What Is There to Say," "Lover" and even "Alexander's Ragtime Band." An inspired outing.
