AllMusic Review by

The three-volume Soul Grooves series from ITP is too esoteric (and occasionally crazily obscure to a fault) to recommend to anyone but the most seasoned soul fan who knows what she or he is getting into. Each volume bounces between the '60s and '70s with an assortment of rarely compiled cuts, plenty of which have been championed only by soul fanatics willing to shell out triple figures to pick up original 45s. The second volume of the series includes Little Tony's "Sweet Little Girl," Carl Henderson's "Please Stop Laughing at Me," Bobby Wisdom's "Handwriting on the Wall," the Sequins' "A Case of Love," and Ronald Saunders' "The Skate, Pt. 2."
