Although the sounds of nature included in the recordings on Autumn Leaves sound more like ocean waves than any leaves, it's a fall-themed recording that features romantic strings, percussion, cello, harp, guitar, and wood flutes. The tempos are slow and meant to relax, and every sound event seems designed to float in the background and never intrude to the fore. It can make Autumn Leaves seem a bit monochrome at times, but as a relaxation aid, that's exactly what it's supposed to do.
