Taped at a club in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, this LP features Sonny Stitt (on alto and tenor) in a strong frontline with trumpeter Harry "Sweets" Edison and tenor great Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis. With steady support from pianist Eddie Higgins, bassist Donn Mast and drummer Duffy Jackson, the three horns get to stretch out on Davis's "The Chef" and five fairly basic standards. These spontaneous performances contain plenty of exciting moments and this album from the small Who's Who label is worth picking up.
