Although this is a two-disc package, the discs are merely CD singles, adding up to five songs plus a video of the title track -- and as fans will already know, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" shares its running time with Sam Cooke's "What a Wonderful World." A chart-topping medley in the U.K., the ensuing hybrid is featured here in both its full-length and edited form; the remainder of the set includes an a cappella rendering of Cliff Richard's 1999 hit "Millennium Prayer" together with "Lay All Your Love on Me" and the pretty "Where There Are Horses." Its vast success notwithstanding, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" was not the greatest single Richard ever released; indeed, it could just as easily have been dreamed up 30 years before as he stumbled through the MOR void that consumed his late-'60s/early-'70s career -- in which case, it would scarcely even have been noticed. But "Millennium Prayer," for all its mawkishness, is a far stronger number, and the rendering here really can send chills down your spine.
