AllMusic Review by

Of all the distasteful episodes that have scarred the Sex Pistols' legacy, sundry Sid Vicious collections included, few left such a bad taste in the mouth as this. The band's musical archive had already been dredged for as much as the label thought it could bear (of course, they later changed their minds on that score); Some Product, therefore, eschewed the musical route altogether and swept up various interviews, advertisements, and other spoken word interludes, not one of which actually added anything to the legend whatsoever. Entertaining interviewees though the bandmembers could be, so little of this album was actually "new" that, even before you played it, you knew you'd heard it all before. In fact, the only positive aspect to the entire affair was that the retail price was kept in the budget realm. Today, Some Product does seem more interesting, if only as a time capsule. But it's a disc to own, not to play.
