During the last period of his life, multi-instrumentalist Victor Feldman recorded often with his somewhat commercial and often funky Generation Band. This set (originally on Nautilus and reissued on CD by TBA) was one of the best recordings by the group due to some particularly catchy melodies (especially the witty "Leroy," "Locomotive" and "Soft Shoulder") and some fiery solos from Tom Scott (mostly on alto). Feldman, who switches between piano, electric keyboards, marimba, xylophone, vibes and congas, sounds as if he was having a fun time. Other musicians include guitarists Robben Ford and Dan Sawyer, electric bassist Nathan East and Victor's son Trevor Feldman (then around 17) on drums.
