AllMusic Review by

The raw, aggressive sound of the Seculars is fully represented on their Social Skills EP, thanks to the accompanied barrage of anger and attitude. With the lo-fi recording that sounds as if it was taped in basement practice space, the Seculars seem to be another addition to the million other bands who have mimicked this style ever since the Stooges' Fun House album was released. But as long as the nostalgia of '60s garage rock is maintained with that intentionally drunken rhythm, the Seculars will never lose their appeal.
