A worthy alternative to the 2008 reissue from the Blood & Fire label, Caroline's 2015 release of Social Living adds' the album's dub counterpart, Living Dub, in its original 1978 mix (not the Heartbeat Records mix from 1991). Dense grooves and heavy lyrics combine for one of the most Rastafarian-fueled classics, with songs like "Marcus Garvey," "Civilized Reggae," and the title cut all in the roots reggae book of standards. Restored cover artwork and a fantastic booklet packed into the physical release makes this an easy recommendation.
