The Cleveland, OH-based rappers led by Mo Dog Chill's mad dog mic skills represent with a set of hardcore gangsta tales balanced by the melodic prop to ugly girls, "Ugly Luv." There are two versions of "Ugly Luv"; the R&B mix features more vocalizing, but they're essentially the same, a case of so nice they did it twice. Raw gangsta lovers will gravitate to the tough street tales and musical autobiographies "Mo Bout Me," "Riddin' With the Crew," "Smuggaluzz," and "Ready for Hell," and won't be disappointed. Tastes of '70s George Clinton and '90s Dr. Dre merge on the crowd-pleasing "Stalkin' You"; "African Booti" features frantic cobweb-clearing African drumming and shows their virtuosity. These are emerging stars about to bounce into the big time. Issued on Igloo Crew Records but assigned to Orchard for distribution.
