The people from British label Music Is... are succeeding in drawing material from some of the best names in Detroit house, including releases by mysterious house producer Moodymann. In their second installment in this series, they net the talents of producer/DJ Theo Parrish. The title track is a downtempo pattern of bent synths and drumbeats with a interwoven vocal that commands you to "smile"; it's a little more upbeat than releases from the same period on Parrish's Sound Signature label. The B-side is very piano heavy, consisting of "Lost Keys," which lays a meandering pattern of piano and keyboard chords over a funky house drum pattern, and "Cloudy Morning," with a playful keyboard pattern intermingled with drawn-out synths, laid over a steady 4/4. This track takes a mellow downshift, ending with a piano solo accompanied by lone hi-hats.
