AllMusic Review by

Once again, many of the artists present on the 1983 volume of Rhino U.K.'s budget-priced tie-in with Smash Hits magazine can be found throughout the series. Echo & the Bunnymen, Bananarama, the English Beat, Randy Crawford, and the Belle Stars are just some of the artists who have already been included -- in fact, with "Never Stop," this marks Echo's fourth appearance (of four possible). As usual, there's an assortment of pop, R&B, rock, and novelty one-shots, highlighted by New Order's "Blue Monday," Carmel's "Bad Day," New Edition's "Candy Girl," Bananarama's "Cruel Summer," ZZ Top's "Gimme All Your Lovin'," and Yes' "Owner of a Lonely Heart."
