It's easy to empathize with a punk-pop group (from suburban New Jersey) that seems to exorcize its stagnant locale through the sheer vitality in its guitars and good-time music. Though the Blisters are not quite as good yet, the Replacements circa their first LP seem a fairly strong influence (not just because the Blisters did a quite credible, well-chosen version of "Takin' a Ride" opening for Fugazi at Maxwells), but this young trio is tapped into a whole rockin' happy loud sound by itself. Budding musicians too. Worth following a bit.
