Sky Lounge is another in a long line of chillout compilations that provides an hour-long excursion into the downtempo realm of electronic music. Smooth beats that border on trip-hop productions mixed in with broken beat and South American-influenced electronic jazz/drum'n'bass are the sound palette du jour. There's also a smattering of dancehall courtesy of Thievery Corporation and some Recloose-style future soul courtesy of Boxwise, but other than that, there isn't much derivation into new electronic grounds. But then again, Sky Lounge isn't about innovation; it's about relaxation.
