Sixties Power, Vol. 1 attempts to cash in on the Austin Powers phenomenon (shagadelic!) by rounding up ten completely random (with the exception of the Strawberry Alarm Clock's "Incense and Peppermints," which was actually on the soundtrack of the first Powers film) songs from the '60s and hoping no one would notice that about half of the tracks are re-recordings of the originals. That alone is enough to consign the disc to the scrap pile. That plus the crass intentions behind the collection anyway.
