AllMusic Review by

Taken from various unidentified radio broadcasts recorded during 1940 through 1942, Singin' n' Swingin' compiles 18 solo vocals from Connie Haines with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, plus a pair of songs ("So This Then Is Love," "You Say the Sweetest Things Baby") with the Pied Pipers. Haines was a solid big-band girl singer, her sweet, clear voice carrying most of these songs, including highlights like "What Is This Thing Called Love?," "Little Brown Jug," "Rhumboogie," and "There'll Be Some Changes Made." Though the notes are scant, the recording quality is surprisingly good given the vintage of these sides.
