Sinfonia Contempora, No. 1: Von Zeit zu Zeit is an avant-garde electronic symphony from Hans-Joachim Roedelius, a master of subtle musical statements. He makes a direct reference to "the diversity of sonic means" and "the succession of very different musical forms." Roedelius has combined a lot of unconventional styles, tones, and techniques to create this sound world. At times dissonant, at times atmospheric, this album is always interesting and entertaining. When he combines those traits into atmospheric dissonance, the CD becomes legendary. There are no albums that sound even remotely close to this treasure. It is essential at all levels.
