AllMusic Review by

Like many albums of its time, Lenny Welch's sole LP for the Cadence label surrounded the hit title track with its B-side, cuts from several previous 45s (dating all the way back to 1959), and a few covers done to fill out the running time. Besides "Since I Fell for You," a deserved orchestrated pop ballad with just a touch of R&B, and "A Taste of Honey" (the first version with vocals, and covered by the Beatles on their debut album), nothing else here is first-rate, though some of it's OK pop-R&B (though more pop than R&B). This is not, by the way, identical to the 1995 CD reissue on Collectables also titled Since I Fell for You, though the two releases do have nine tracks in common.
