Buyer beware: These are not Motown sides but Ian Levine's productions on the Supremes. It's impossible to discern exactly who's singing on each cut because Levine used five former members of the Supremes in various combinations. If it's any solace, Levine did a better job producing the Supremes than many of the other ex-Motown artists he coaxed into recording studios in the late '80s and early '90s. Some of the more interesting cuts include an update of "Crumbs off the Table," led by Scherrie Payne. Payne also led the original version as a member of the Glass House on Invictus Records, an exciting version of Luther Vandross's "Stop to Love," and a peppy "You Can't Hurry Love." These 20 tracks will interest completists only.
