Larusso's Simplement is the French answer to Mariah Carey -- an exotic beauty with a passionate voice singing simplistic pop and R&B. The 14 songs that make up the album barely deviate from one another, shifting from slow R&B/pop to fast R&B/pop. The most adventurous thing on the album is "Intro Concert," the one-minute Daft Punk-esque track that kicks off the album. "Bouge de Ma Vie" is a good example of the typical Larusso song: its foundation is a mid-tempo jam driven by keyboards and acoustic guitar while she croons bland verses up to the mildly catchy hook that makes up the chorus. The song is mildly above average, which is a perfect way to describe her music. There is nothing challenging or engaging, but there is nothing really terrible or boring either. This is just a very average album by a talented musician who has nothing spicy or memorable to work with.
