An intimate pianist and singer, Meredith D'Ambrosio performs 13 songs that mean a lot to her on this quiet, but at times, stirring performance. The nine standards include touching versions of "Long Ago And Far Away," "Spring Isn't Everything" and "The Thrill Is Gone" plus adds four of D'Ambrosio's better originals. Performing duets with guitarist Gene Bertoncini, Meredith D'Ambrosio is heard at her most haunting and expressive during this melancholy yet strangely uplifting set.
