Readers' Digest's Signature Series: Bouquet of Songs collects two discs' worth of evocative easy listening music. Disc one features instrumentals, including "Could I Have This Dance," "I Left My Heart in San Francisco," and "Thanks for the Memory." Disc two, meanwhile, also features instrumentals (including fabulously kitschy renditions of Stevie Wonder's "I Just Called to Say I Love You" and "You Are the Sunshine of My Life") but includes vocal pop like "Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera)" by Rosemary Squires with Johnny Gibbs and His Orchestra. Overall, the collection has a fairly dated sound, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing, depending on whether or not you have a taste for easy listening from the '60s, '70s and '80s. "(They Long to Be) Close to You," "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You," and "All the Things You Are" are some of the other highlights from this collection, which offers pleasant, if somewhat kitschy, mood music.
