The duo that grabbed attention with its combination of banda music and hip-hop lays off the banda a bit on Siempre, a collection that repackages the duo's 2002 A.D. album by dropping some tracks and renaming the ones that are left. Confusing for sure, and while there's less of Akwid's exciting, trumpet-filled banda than before, the guys make up with their cool swagger, boisterous beats, and infectious raps. The repackaging does away with some unnecessary tracks, while the remixes tacked onto the end offer flashier versions of the originals. Beginners should start with Proyecto Akwid and its big hit, "No Hay Maner."
