While there is no direct evidence that Kid606 is behind the Violent Turd imprint (nor is there evidence it is based in New Zealand), there is more than sufficient indirect evidence to conclude he is in charge of the whole operation. The most recent in a series of clues/coincidences is the commissioning of Tigerbeat6 artists Knifehandchop and DJ Aneurysm to contribute mixes for the latest installment of the Shotgun Wedding mix CD series. Knifehandchop offers up the first mix, delivering with a wide range of tunes that would be expected from such a mash-up artist. Contributions from Daft Punk, kindred spirit Venetian Snares, RZA, and even an appearance by Parrappa the Rappa make this an enjoyable, if not challening, listen. Coming in to clean things up, relative newcomer to the camp Aneurysm takes things in a darker direction, playing many of his own productions and relying on glitch and techno-heavy tracks at times to get his point across. It's not the strongest in the series, but it's definitely not the weakest either.
