The second of two essential (but difficult-to-find) 20-song, hour-long Annette Hanshaw LPs released by the British World label, this album should excite 1920s collectors. Hanshaw was one of the top jazz singers of the era, as she shows on such numbers as "Cooking Breakfast for the One I Love," "I've Got It," "My Future Just Passed," "Little White Lies," "Body and Soul," and "You're the One I Care For." Among the supporting cast (most of whom get concise solos) are Benny Goodman, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, cornetist Muggsy Spanier, and bass saxophonist Adrian Rollini. Highly recommended to fans of the era.
