In a genre where rocked-out psychedelic trance is far too common, the S.U.N. Project really offer nothing new in terms of sonic innovation that hasn't been covered by Wax Trax groups decades ago, Esion, or the Matrix and Blade movie soundtracks. The cover resembles something out of The Matrix, and quite frankly there's enough of this sound already released to go around. So why should you pick up Sexperimental? That's a fairly reasonable question. Fans of bleak industrial sounds mixed with epic trance buildups will find this instantly appealing, as there's plenty of that to go around throughout the 72-minute disc. Mix that up with a healthy dose of breaks, bleeps, rock guitar, and hard rock sensibilities, and you have the perfect recipe for a good time.
