AllMusic Review by

This "three-fer" from idiosyncratic new wave provocateurs Wall of Voodoo collects the Los Angeles-based outfit's last three albums, all of which were led by underrated Andy Prieboy (original vocalist Stan Ridgway left the band after 1983's Call of the West). Happy Planet has a handful of decent cuts and the live Ugly Americans is a serviceable contract filler, but of the trio, 1985's Seven Days in Sammystown is the clear winner, offering up the electrifying single "Far Side of a Crazy," as well as a unique and muscular cover of Merle Travis' "Dark as a Dungeon."
