It isn't unusual for record companies to release a single-disc condensation of a boxed set, and Columbia/Legacy might be well advised to try that with this sampler, which was assembled only for promotional purposes and never commercially available. Ranging from Tony Bennett's "The Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" (1950) to "When Do The Bells Ring For Me" (1989), the album gathers 12 representative Bennett performances. It is not a formal greatest hits record (no "I Left My Heart In San Francisco"), but rather a condensation of the hits/favorite tracks approach of the box.
