Index took a softer, though equally moody, approach for their second album (which was untitled). The squalling psychedelic workouts are largely pushed aside by pensive ballads. The muddy, muffled acoustics and the brooding, solipsistic compositions create a feeling of unbearable melancholy, akin to stranded astronauts singing to themselves while looking at their planetary homes from afar, or a seriously acid-damaged take on the early Bee Gees (who in fact are covered here not once, but twice).
