AllMusic Review by

In 1993 pianist Cole Broderick recorded the first of his four albums paying tribute to both his hometown of Saratoga, New York and the changing of the seasons. All of the music from his single CDs Springtime, Summer, Autumn and Winter In Saratoga has been reissued in full on this four-CD set. The 41 selections are all originals by either Broderick or his longtime saxophonist Marcus Benoit and these numbers range from being lightly funky to wistful ballads. Although none of the individual cuts were destined to become standards and the music does not necessarily conjure up the image of the various seasons, one has to give Broderick and his quartet credit for being ambitious and generally successful.
