The soundtrack from the first pageant to be presented in the church's new conference center in Salt Lake City. The new center, built to replace the outgrown Mormon Tabernacle, seats in excess of 20,000 and was designed to hold a variety of activities, such as this pageant. The liner notes do not give credit to any specific composers or librettists, but rather state that the pageant was the result of a huge collaborative effort. In any case, the music is beautiful, the production is excellent, and it's clear that the pageant was a labor of love by the sounds of the voices. The pageant focuses primarily on the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Good for the Sabbath, holidays, and general listening.
