AllMusic Review by

Bellevue's Saturday Night Party series, like other releases from the label, features only a handful of original recordings per volume. Poorly recorded live versions and studio re-recordings are far more common. The label specifies which selections are live, but it does not bother to note which ones are inferior studio remakes. That alone is a case for ignoring the whole series. Among the many reasons to avoid Saturday Night Party: Rock 'n' Roll Party, Vol. 2 are substandard versions of Elvis Presley's "Hound Dog," Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire," Gene Vincent's "Be Bop a Lula," Eddie Bond & the Stompers' "Rockin' Daddy," and the Shirelles' "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow."
