Sargam Review

Sargam stands apart from the vast majority of classical Indian recordings thanks to its unusual instrumentation, its ragas and folk-inspired songs performed on tabla, santur (Indian hammered dulcimer) and shenai (double reed oboe) -- instruments rarely heard together. The combination is beautifully contemplative and oddly sensual, resulting in Bhattacharya's strongest effort to date.
