On their third release, Reign of Terror have created a bit of a mixed bag of metal music. The majority of the material is in the vein of such classically oriented artists as Yngwie Malmsteen. The unfortunate part of that aspect is that their take on this sound is quite generic and lacks any uniqueness. However, when the band turns to the more melodic vein of metal, it really does work well. The highlights of the disc are an awesome acoustic guitar solo piece and a cover of Rainbow's "Kill The King." This release should definitely appeal to fans of the genre, but is a bit dry at times.
