Formerly of the '80s San Francisco jangle-pop band Flying Color, Dale Duncan is the brains behind Map of Wyoming; his "group" includes most of his ex-bandmates, multi-instrumentalist Chris von Sneidern and John Stuart on drums. Larry Dekker formerly of Translator, Chuck Prophet and ex-Cat Head Sam Babbit join in to lend some fancy colors to Duncan's own ambitious, Americana songs. And they don't get much better than "Another Road," one of the most extraordinary jangle-rockers ever, right up there with R.E.M.'s "Rockville," The Groovies' "I Can't Hide" and Tom Petty's "Listen to Her Heart."
