AllMusic Review by

Hightone's expansion into reggae and dancehall territory continues with this 14-cut anthology. While most songs are the usual party or sex/slack material favored by many dancehall performers, there's also some solid socio-poilitical material. Beenie Man's "If You Live By The Gun" outlines the bleak consequences for those who make their decisions via firearms, while Dread Bob's "Mad City" and Silk's "Man Is Just A Man" manage to communicate effective messages without being polemics. Jigsy King's "My Sound Kill" and "Every Mickle Make A Muckle" score points for the silly song, while Toney Curtis' "If I Follow My Heart" and "Rain From The Sky" are reminiscent of vintage lover's rock and rockers reggae.
