AllMusic Review by

This is a compilation project that spans the period between 1981 through 1990, an important time for Ronnie Mack professionally. With an emphasis on rockabilly, Mack's largess to that genre has kept rockabilly alive for many fans around the world. Like many American artists who are overlooked at home, Mack is a star in Europe, where his singles are hits that still merit air play. Respected too for his devotion to country and roots music, that devotion is reflected here via Mack's covers of John Hiatt's "Doll Hospital," athe Merle Travis tune "Kentucky Means Paradise" and the Bryant & Bryant penned "Brand New Heartache," a duet with Rosie Flores. As a chronicle of a vibrant career that has benefited many, this CD defines Mack's genius.
