AllMusic Review by

Despite its importance in Hungarian tradition, the music gypsies play and sing for each other is still rarer on record than, say, Australian Aboriginal. Here are solo and a cappella voices, none of them "professional" and some less than polished, but it has all the emotional reality the tearoom czardas lacks. Good notes and transcriptions are included, too.
