As Muddy Waters defined the electric blues genre, you'd be hard-pressed to find fault with any collection of his tunes, except that they always seem too short. This ten-song compilation is far too brief, and unfortunately does short shrift to the genius of the man. Still, there are five all-timers included -- "She Moves Me," "Can't Lose What You Never Had," "Baby Please Don't Go," "Rollin' and Tumblin'," and "I'm Ready." The other tracks are less than first-rate, but still very good -- just not the ultimate best in his catalog, which you should expect. A little Muddy is still better than none, and superior to all others.
