AllMusic Review by Jim Allen

Just in case you thought ROCKIN' & BOPPIN' IN THE DESERT VOL. 1 contained all the rare Arizona rockabilly tracks you ever needed, VOL. 2 is here to correct that assumption. Covering the years 1955 to 1965, it features not only obscure Arizona artists like the Dropouts and Easy Deal Wilson, but also cowboy star Rex Allen getting his rockabilly on with “Knock Knock Rattle” and Waylon Jennings showing his roots with a version of Buddy Holly's “Rave On.” Throw in some tasty previously unreleased cuts, and you've got a hell of an Arizona rock-&-roll party.
