AllMusic Review by

Saxman Preston waxed one of the first legitimately traceable rock & roll singles with his scorching jumper "Rock the Joint" for Philadelphia-based Gotham Records in 1949. It's here, along with his inexorably swinging "Hucklebuck Daddy," "Messin' with Preston," and "They Call Me the Champ."
