AllMusic Review by

Direct Source's Rock Revival: Rocking Down the House is a ten-song mishmash of the rock & roll sound of '60s and '70s. The packaging and sound are not great, but the music is. Ranging from classic R&B to British Invasion to disco, the disc is made up of mostly '60s party music like Jan & Dean's "Surf City," Herman's Hermit's "I'm Telling You Now," Lloyd Price's "Stagger Lee" and Chubby Checker's "Pony Time" with a couple a '70s classics like Rose Royce's "Car Wash" and Paper Lace's "The Night Chicago Died" thrown in. It plays like 30 minutes of a really good oldies station. The biggest problem with the disc is that it is way too short, leaving you wanting much more.
