Direct Source's Rock Revival: Good Rockin' Tonight is a ten-song mishmash of the rock & roll sound of the '50s and early '60s. The packaging and sound are not great, but the music is. Ranging from girl group sounds to British Invasion to doo wop, the disc is made up of wonderful party music like the Troggs' "Wild Thing," Bobby Freeman's "Do You Wanna Dance," John Fred & His Playboy Band's "Judy in Disguise (With Glasses)" and the Silhouettes' "Get a Job" as well as one of the great novelty songs, "Monster Mash" by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. It plays like 30 minutes of a really good oldies station. The biggest problem with the disc is that it is way too short, leaving you wanting much more.
