Far too skimpy and far too random to provide an accurate summary of the year being covered, each volume in the Rock On series features only 12 songs (so lots of disc space goes to waste), which are usually thrown together without much thought. These are budget discs in the truest sense, and none of them should act as significant representations. Rock On, 1973: Diamond Girl includes the Allman Brothers Band's "Ramblin' Man," Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side," Barry White's "I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More," Kool & the Gang's "Jungle Boogie," and Jim Croce's "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown."
