A maverick Texas country singer and songwriter, Roger Creager's energetic and all-out live shows have made him a huge fan favorite in Texas and wherever else he has played and toured, and although country radio really hasn't embraced him to date, it's difficult to understand why. Creager obviously isn't much worried about it, though, as he stretches his country sound into New Orleans jazz and 1970s rock territory with this seven-song album, all while still managing to sound like traditional country. Call it an impressive hat trick.
