Which?'s Revelations Book II is a fascinating collection of religious-themed songs from a variety of indie rockers. It has an eclectic artist roster, featuring everybody from Patti Rothberg and Sara Hickman to Railroad Jerk, Daniel Johnston, Mojo Nixon, and Wammo, but it holds together fairly well because each track is so individual. Not to say that it all works, but even when it doesn't, it's admirable and interesting...and that's not always the case with a lot of various-artists collections.
