Deliverance's 1997 Reunion album finds the contemporary gospel group at the top of their game, despite a seven-year absence from performing. Produced by Emmanuel Officer and boasting the Babyface-written "Last Song," Reunion is a consistently compelling, passionate and moving tribute to the Lord that has enough grit and soul to appeal to secular audiences. It's a triumphant comeback, one that plays off their past strengths while adding new dimensions to their sound.
