AllMusic Review by

Madacy's Retro '70s (as opposed to "Tomorrow's '70s") covers plenty of ground in two discs, focusing on album-oriented rock and soft rock. Just about every selection is a staple on the average "classic rock" or "lite FM" radio station, including harder-edged material (Boston's "More Than a Feeling," Toto's "Hold the Line," Argent's "Hold Your Head Up," Eddie Money's "Baby Hold On," Cheap Trick's "I Want You to Want Me"), as well as plenty of selections that are ideal for the waiting room (Bread's "Make It with You," Gary Wright's "Dreamweaver," Ambrosia's "How Much I Feel," Johnny Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now").
