DLG (Dark Latin Groove) made their mark on New York’s mid-‘90s dance scene with a pair of albums that elegantly revealed the connection between Latin dance music and the unwavering grooves of house, techno, and disco. RENACER is something of a comeback effort. Its immediate predecessor, 2003’s SERIE AZUL TROPICAL discarded many of DLG’s techno influences for a more traditional Latin sound, but RENACER sees the group returning to the bracing electro-Latin fusion of its heyday.
