A number of best-selling Philippine artists have released Christmas albums, and Side A is no exception, as evidenced by 1999's Remember December. The accomplished title song, "Remember December," composed by bandmember Joey Benin, is a reflective, wistful outing featuring serene vocals and gentle acoustic accompaniment, which includes a harmonica solo. Some songs were written by Western composers, including "Give Love on Christmas Day," made famous by the Jackson 5 on their celebrated 1970 Christmas album. One of the album's best songs is "Christmas Time Again" (the composer isn't credited), which begins with impressive a cappella singing and segues into an uplifting melody, the bandmembers' voices blending harmoniously. The edgy, opening vibe of "Merry Christmas, Happy Christmas" and the song's contagious chorus add depth and diversity. "Miss Kita Kung Christmas" (I Miss You Every Christmas) is one of the album's more lightweight efforts, but isn't a total waste, either, and has some pleasant moments. The singing and musicianship throughout the album is of a high standard, and the album is enjoyable.
